You Have a Responsibility

As we start this journey through the last month of the year there is an overall feeling of numbness. You are going through the motions of living, but you feel empty, low, non-productive, and out of sync. You know that the Lord has gifted you with not just grace but talents and gifts that you have a memory of and excitement that came with this knowledge and the opportunity to use them whether it be in your home, church, job, community, school, or family. But now, there is a sadness and numbness because it seems all so far in the distant past.

Listen, I feel you. However, you have a responsibility in your growth and the coming forth of every gift and talent that you house inside of you. As you commit to the process of transformation that only comes from personal and spiritual discipline you will see that you are no longer content to be satisfied with the way that you are. You have a responsibility to invest in your process and this takes not only time and commitment, but it takes a surrendering to the tru

e and living God. He desires to see you functioning and yielding to not only your kingdom purpose but also your kingdom responsibility. In my favorite book to read Paul tells us to see to it that we stir up the gift of God which has been placed within us. It is your gift, it is your talent, it is your purpose, it is your assignment, and it is your responsibility to tend to it every day and in every way.
