Use Your Talons

Did you know that the strike of an eagle's talon is twice the force of a rifle bullet?

I know it sounds incredible but it is true. I have researched it several times. Trust me this is true. I wanted to give you a direct statement of what that looked like but there were just too many formulas and mathematical equations needed to do so. What I do know is that when the eagle goes after his prey he is quick, precise and powerful. So much so that an eagle can catch and carry a deer in his grip.

Understanding the power in his talons the eagle does not attempt to hunt with his beak, he doesn't use his wings to knock it out, he doesn't rely solely on his impeccable eyesight to accomplish his goal. He uses what he knows was created and developed for the job...his talons.

Life is what life is. Hurt is hurt, pain is pain, temptation is temptation, it simply is what it is until it isn't any more. The enemy comes after us and situations stir up around us and we try so hard to come up with solutions for where we are. If we are to be eagles in this hour we need to use what has been created and developed so to speak for us...The Word of God, for the Word of God is quick, and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Now I ask you, what better way to approach life with its everyday challenges than putting the word on it.

So as we leave March and head into April remember eagles...use your talons
