As we come to an end of this year many of us are very tired. We have been in battle we've weathered some storms, we've held on with all of our might as the enemy of our soul tried to sift us as wheat this year. We find ourselves without strength and concerned about what we will face in 2018. Well if we are to take a lesson from the eagle we will take some time these last 16 days of the year to
rejuvenate.
When the Eagle grows old, his feathers become weak and cannot take him as fast as he should. When he feels weak and about to die, he retires to a place far away in the rocks. While there, he plucks out every feather on his body until he is completely bare. He stays in this hiding place until he has grown new feathers, then he can come out.
Like the eagle we occasionally need to shed off old habits & items that burden us without adding to our lives. We need to hide in the presence of our savior until we are renewed and ready to come out to face the next length of our journey. Deuteronomy 32:11 says "As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:” in like fashion our heavenly Father longs to take care of us...Won't you let Him today? Until Next year...
